ABOUT 

Melissa works and plays in Nanaimo, BC. with her young son Burke and chi-puggle, Pablo.  Her inspiration comes from adventuring along mountain ridges or the slow observation of surfaces and patterns along the shoreline.  If she’s not making  art, she’s probably trail running or shredding through the forest on her mountain bike!  Melissa has travelled, studied and worked in Japan, Thailand, and parts of Europe as well as throughout the rockies. Her degrees include a BEd. from the U of A (2004) and a BFA from Emily Carr (2011).  As a teacher, Melissa is happy to share her love of the visual world with young emerging artists.
